Co-founder – Studio Director & Architect

“The concept of ‘tailor-made’ has been so abused in recent times that it no longer has much meaning,” says Mauro Borghi, a co-founder of Archiproject Contract, a design outfit with offices outside Milan and in London. The firm is specialized in creating exclusive solutions for the luxury market. “The most important thing is to have an approach that is reserved, personal, and unique for each individual client and for every individual need.”

Borghi graduated with a degree in architecture in 1992 from Milan’s Polytechnic University. That same year, he received a scholarship to complete a Master’s degree in architectural composition. Since 1993, he has been a licensed architect in Italy. Mauro has more than 20 years of professional experience in architecture, interior design, and project management for important hotels, agencies, luxurious private residences, and exclusive yachts throughout the world. He has that rare combination of fantastic vision and design talent, along with a great deal of understanding of real-world constraints. These qualities are necessary for creating memorable and successful projects for his clients.

Before founding the Archiproject Contract studio in 2014, Mauro held key positions in important furnishings companies in Italy. He has always worked as a technical manager and project manager, and personally managed the design and execution of the renovation of the Kremlin Palace in Moscow for a period of 18 months. Mauro has managed the architecture and interior design of many presidential offices throughout the world, and he has also served as director of operations for designing the interiors of numerous private residences. During his many years in this line of work, he has managed all of the operations necessary for creating high-level contract projects. He has managed important projects from both an economic as well as an architectural standpoint.

Mauro’s vast experience allows him to manage and coordinate various areas, including architecture, interiors, systems, and contract equipment. At the same time, he is able to help owners in coming up with a feasible project, scheduling, planning, budgeting, and executing the client’s final vision. Mauro also plays a key role in developing new commercial opportunities for the studio. He is actively involved in the planning of each Archiproject Contract project and he keeps a hand in each one until it is completed and the client’s desires are fully satisfied. Starting from the Design of the interior or the building, to touch the Landscape, the decorations and the technical study for the lights of the facades and the parks, Archiproject provides all the services of Project Managent and to the technical support (technical managing) with the Development of executive designs, structures, technological installations and interior decorations.
