On the River

Living on a river is not for everyone. Not everyone wants to gather along the Neva River and watch as it flows by. This needed to be a residence for official functions, but it also needed to be comfortable. With its design, the studio was able to fully satisfy the needs of the client. Every room and every detail was attended to. The entire residence has a unique, wonderful, and pleasant theme that has a classic aesthetic. At the same time, it doesn’t lack in the conveniences that today’s updated classic aesthetic allows for. The heart of the project is the residence itself. The large hall that continues through all three levels of the building, with a lot of light at the centre thanks to the custom-made Swarovski light fixture. This light fixture can be admired from all three levels as can the wrought-iron railing with gold-leaf details created by master metalworkers and the brass banister. Only an expert eye would realize that the staircase was created as a single piece and could appreciate the skill necessary for working with the marble. What’s more, it was difficult to find such a great quantity of identical materials. The same care, same attention, and same passion were used room by room throughout the entire home.
